Come Run for the House as Bethany Community Church hosts the second annual fundraising run/walk/kids run for My Sister's House, a transitional home in Washington, IL, for single women and their children (www.mysistershse.org). Run for the House will be run on a cross country style 1.5 mile looped course. Not sure you are in shape? Community Running Club is offering a 9 week training program to help you get ready--go here to register for the training. We are excited to announce that once again Shazam Racing will be handling race timing for this event.

My Sister's House has a goal to communicate, facilitate and demonstrate the love and care of Christ to the women and children in the home. The hope is to provide tangible assistance to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The ministry is funded solely through donations and is staffed by a team of volunteers. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to My Sister's House.

The Run for the House event will consist of a timed 5K and 10K as well as an untimed 1.5 mile walk and 1/4 mile kids' fun run. Not up for a lap on our course or want to send your support from afar? You can donate to MSH any time! Donations can be sent to:

Jogging strollers are welcome on the course, but please note that the course is not paved and is narrow is some areas. For safety reasons, no pets are allowed on the course.

Held on the Bethany Trail at Bethany Community Church at 27577 Dutch Lane in Washington, IL. Directions are here.
8:00am - 1.5 mile walk
8:30am - 1/4 mile Kids' Fun Run
8:45am - 5K and 10K
Join us for the post-walk/race party starting at 8:30am!
RACE PACKET PICKUP
Friday, October 19 from 3-6pm at the race site. Directions are here.
Saturday, October 20 from 7-8:15am at the race site.
AWARDS
Awards will be given to the male and female winners in both the 5K and 10K and to the top male and female runner in each age bracket. These awards will be given after the the races are finished. All Kids' Run participants will receive a ribbon to be given at the end of the Kids' Run.
Age brackets are:
14 and Under
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 and Up
PRICING
Register by September 22 to receive the early bird pricing. All 5K, 10K and walk participants will receive a race shirt. The kids' run shirt is optional.
5K and Walk $30 / $35 after 9/22
10K $35/$40 after 9/22
Kids' Run $15 (with shirt)
$5 (without shirt)
In order to guarantee shirt size and availability of receiving a shirt, you must register by Saturday, October 6. Shirts for those registering after Saturday, October 6 will be available as supplies last. Online registration closes 48 hours before the event, but you can register on race day during packet pick up at BCC from 7-8:15am.
