Sunday Worship Service at 10:30am

IMAGE - High School

Grades 9-12

Our goal is to help students grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ by partnering with parents in the spiritual development of their children.  We realize that it is the Lord’s working in a person’s life that brings about change. For more on this purpose, go here.

On Sundays, we meet in room 101B.  We meet at 9:00am, during the Sunday school hour.  Our time on Sunday starts with fellowship time, followed by  a Bible lesson.  There are several men who rotate through the teaching schedule. After the lesson, we break up into small groups for the remainder of our time together.  This group is grade and gender based.  For example, Freshmen grade girls are a group, and Freshmen boys are another group.  Each small group has two or three adult leaders of the same gender.  This small group time is a very special part of our ministry as it is spent on building relationships between the students and small group leaders, thinking through age-appropriate applications from the lesson, and praying together.

Wednesday night Youth Group during the school year is from 6:00-7:40. We meet at the church building. At 6:00, we start with fellowship/game time, this could either be in the gym or outdoors, weather permitting.  Around 6:30, we move into the high school youth room for worship.  We have a group of high school students who lead worship, which consists of three songs.  After worship, the EDGE (middle school) and IMAGE split into their respective rooms for teaching time.  This time consists of announcements and a lesson.  Following the lesson, snacks are provided, and the students split into their small groups.  Small group time looks the same on Wednesday night as it does on Sunday mornings.

Every month, we try to do an activity with the IMAGE in order to build relationships with other students and leaders.  Some months we do service projects and some months are just fun activities.  Some months we are with the EDGE and some months the activities are separate from the EDGE. Each Winter we go to Winter Camp with the Bethany Fellowship of Churches. This winter, our Winter Camp will be on January 12-14, 2024.
