Heather began working at Bethany Community Church in October of 2016 as the Biblical Counseling Administrator.  Her role includes overseeing the Biblical counseling ministry, the training classes within our Association of Certified Biblical Counselors training center, scheduling appointments and working with our assimilation and care group ministries. . She attended Illinois Central College earning her PTA degree and worked in that field for almost 6 years.

Along with her administrator role, Heather also enjoys serving in youth and children’s ministry. 

Ministry close to your heart?
Obviously, I would have to say our counseling ministry. There is nothing more rewarding or sanctifying then coming alongside of people as the Lord works in their lives; turning trials into all joy. Yet that process of “coming alongside of people” in one another-ing is a vital part of every ministry and purpose here at Bethany Community Church.

Finish this sentence: If I have a free afternoon, I can probably be found
Depends totally on the season, if its spring or summer I’ll be outside, whether its to go on a run or hangout by a pool. I’m all outdoors. If its winter, a good cup of coffee, an even better book, a warm blanket and a fireplace is where you’ll find me.

What is a Scripture verse that is meaningful to you?
I would have to say Galatians 2:20 has been my long-term one. It reminds me so often, how in and of myself I can do nothing, but Christ who lives in me.
