Michael Phelps - Maintenance and Custodial

Mike began working at Bethany Community Church in 2026 in Maintenance and Custodial.  Mike attended the University of Illinois for electrical engineering, and he spent over 36 years working in the electric power industry; the last 20 years at Caterpillar from where he retired in 2025.  Mike lives in Washington with his wife Kathleen; they have one boy, Alex, and two daughters, Olga and Ellie.  Mike and his family have been worshipping with us at BCC since 2025.

Ministry close to your heart?

I have been looking for an opportunity to expand my ministry at BCC, and I am excited to be able to use my background and skills to serve in the Maintenance and Custodial group.  I've also enjoyed participating in the Men's Bible Study.
