Mark DeJarnatt - Elder

Mark was a part of the leadership team that planted Bethany Community in 2008. He received his bachelor’s degree at Western Illinois University in 1973 & a Masters of Arts in Ministry degree at The Moody Bible Institute in 1998. He is a retired teacher/coach/bus driver at Washington Community High School, where he taught 34 years, coached a Drafting/CAD team 25 years and wrestling team 17 years. Though he is retired from WCHS, he keeps busy with a part-time job: doing custodial/maintenance work at the BCC property. His wife Linda was a teacher’s aide for 18 years at WCHS. Mark and Linda were married in 1978 and have four adult children with 13grandchildren. He and Linda also enjoy spending time traveling to see out of state family, especially their grandchildren, and fellowshipping with friends.

Mark teaches a men's bible study and Wednesday prayer meeting at BCC.
